Design team constantly works on improving customer experience; it introduces changes gradually as it gains more understanding about their target audience.
My approach to design is thinking about the tasks customers will complete using a service or product, when, how, and turn this information into functional requirements. Throughout my career, I have work within high performing marketing teams, creating design strategies for sales enablement, go-to-market strategy, and brand awareness.
I work alongside Copywriters, Marketing Managers, Data Analyse and a Webmaster to create designs for all mediums and channels. I’m also responsible for conversion rate optimisation for all marketing tactics, this includes testing for market fit, buying triggers and adapting all designs for constant improvement.
"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works."
Design starts with understanding what the customer wants to accomplish, (their goals) and finding interactions that will help to achieve these goals. It is impossible to think about Graphical User Interface design in isolation from a product or service that will use it. Thus, following the five stages of design thinking is a good foundation for creating great experiences. (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test).
Designers need to think about the tasks the user will complete using a product (user needs), when (user environment) and how (design ergonomics), and turn this information into functional requirements.
